The other thing I was trying to explain to this QC MP was how a man may truly believe he has consent when he hasn't.
I'll do the joke first.
Hey Clarissa did you hear that Samantha was raped. Yes. Was she very upset? NO, she didn't know it had happened until the cheque bounced.
I saw this movie on TV - late night but public service - This gangster had a moll and a boss. It was a bit surrealistic - maybe a modern remake of Shakespeare? - in the end the lover danced in a spotlight whilst the mod mowed them down with machine guns.
However, I referred to one scene in particular. In it the gangster 'fluffed up' his girl - got her aroused and then marched her into his boss's office and went round behind his desk and bent his girl over the desk and pulled up her skirt.
The boss did the deed. The important thing was that the camera focused on her face one hands . It was meant to portray how despite her arousal she resisted at first because this was 'the wrong man' but nature gradually took it's course and she settle into the joy of the thing.
